LWG Data Recovery is a division of LWG Consulting, Inc., a leading provider of post-disaster technical solutions to the insurance industry and their policyholders.  Our firm was originally founded as Computer Risk Corporation, when our founder saw an opportunity to assist in the recovery from disasters involving complex computer systems.  Since its inception 1984, LWG has grown from a single location to 15 locations across the United States and Canada.

Our clients have turned to us for technical advice in coping with catastrophic disasters such as Hurricane Katrina, the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, the Oklahoma City bombing, and countless fires, floods and explosions.  In assisting our clients, we have developed unrivaled expertise in the recovery of electronic data from a wide variety of media subjected to the most extreme damage.  Of critical importance in these post-disaster situations is the need to get businesses and government agencies back in business quickly and with minimal disruption.  Over the years, we’ve developed a particularly acute sensitivity to the needs of businesses and organizations.  As a result, we’ve developed an obsessive commitment to service and value.

LWG’s expertise remained exclusively available only to insurance companies and their policyholders until 2005, at which time we made our capabilities available to computer repair professionals who wished to provide their customers with extremely high-quality data recovery, computer forensics and electronic discovery at a fair price. The acquisition of Chicago Data Recovery in 2006 expanded our capabilities such that we are now able to offer our data recovery expertise to the public.  While we continue to grow, we remain committed to outstanding customer service, and our appreciation for the importance of electronic data to businesses, professional firms, and public entities remains unabated.  LWG Data Recovery has become "The Data Recovery Firm for Business".
